Innerverse was sparked by the passion of three women—mothers, educators, and lifelong advocates for youth—who refused to accept a system that left too many children disengaged and unseen.

​Born out of love, frustration, and an unshakable belief in the brilliance of every child, our Co-Founders created INNERVERSE to be a movement that empowers middle schoolers to know themselves, own their gifts, and design futures filled with purpose.

ANGELA L. JOHNON
​Co-Founder, Executive Director

​Angela L. Johnson is a TX-certified educator and Co-Founder of INNERVERSE, with 13+ years of experience designing transformative youth programs from New York to Houston.

A visionary leader, she has launched innovative initiatives like Actin’ Out, Rules to Fly By, and K.A.C.I. (Kids' Academy of Cultural Intelligence), always centering children’s brilliance and potential.

Now as Executive Director, Angela is the business mind that guides middle schoolers through self-discovery and purpose-driven future planning—while proudly raising two sons she calls her “Tupac” and “Malcolm X” of the next generation.

She possesses academic background in Performance and Production Management (BA) from Prairie View A&M University.

DIANA BARRIOS
Co-Founder

Diana Barrios has 11 years of experience successfully coordinating projects in education (advising, teaching, sponsoring MUN, researching) in different cities.

Interacting with people from different cultures, and environments have helped her to understand and identify the profound needs of the human being in society and how the educational system, a tool that serves to resolve, must reconsider its objectives.

She possesses academic background in Political Science, (BS) International Relations (BS), and Human Development (Masters). 

PAOLA PALLARES
Co-Founder

Paola Pallares possesses a background in Philosophy and over 10 years of experience in education

She specializes in Ethics and Theory of Knowledge and excels in the design, implementation, and evaluation of content and curricula in Humanities. 

Participating in research projects for education and serving as an advisor for students has allowed her to understand that the human being as a whole is at the heart of education and should be addressed by any and all educational efforts.
